Christina Banerjee

I was born in Mobile, Alabama, located in south-eastern United States of America. I have been surrounded by art my whole life. Art has come naturally to me and has developed into my profession. I studied at the University of South Alabama and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in ceramics and a minor in interdisciplinary studies in painting and sculpture.

In 2013, I moved from the United States to India and started working as an art teacher at an International School following the International Baccalaureate curriculum. My professional life, in its entirety, has been consumed by art and I derive immense satisfaction from it.

During my first trip to India in the winter of 2010, I fell in love with a country that was so inspirational. Since my first trip I travelled to India three other times visiting various cities. I find inspiration wherever I go, and India is exceptionally beautiful. I am drawn in by the culture, the vivid colours and vibrant life that is, quintessentially, India.

I have now lived and worked in New Delhi, India as a professional artist for several years.
